AP 312 Spring Junior Year - 1 Project

For AP312, the schedule, and overall direction of the studio was very different than anything I had taken before. With a focus on master-planning, the studio as a team researched, and discovered numerous problem areas within the campus. After working as a whole, groups were formed to tackle separate problems, and form solutions based on a conservative or aggressive approach. Separating into smaller groups presented the opportunity to focus on one specific issue, or even re-creating a proposal from the Norwich Master Plan. Individual projects were presented as an option at the tail end of the course. The individual topic I chose to focus on was the addition of a mixed major building which would house programs such as the engineering program, architecture + art, as well as construction management majors.
